The Dino 246 is a sports car manufactured from 1969 to 1974 by the Italian automobile manufacturer Ferrari. The body was designed by Aldo Brovarone for Pininfarina. Since the car has a V6 engine instead of the twelve cylinder engine typical for Ferrari, it was not sold as Ferrari, but under the brand name Dino, which is named after Enzo Ferrari‘s son Alfredo Ferrari. A Dino in its original condition bears neither the Ferrari logo nor the Ferrari logo. The Dino has its own emblem, which shows the name Dino in blue lettering on a yellow background. The Dino 246 was presented at the Geneva Motor Show in the spring of 1969 as the successor to the Dino 206 GT, the first mid-engined production car produced by Ferrari. The designation „246“ refers to the 2.4 litre displacement and the six cylinders of the engine. The Dino 246 differs strikingly from the Dino 206 GT by the flap that covers the fuel filler cap on the left C-pillar. The wheelbase increased from 2280 to 2340 mm. While the body of the Dino 206 GT was made entirely of aluminium, the 246cc bodies were made of steel. Only the hoods and doors of the first 246 series (L series) were still made of aluminium. Fiat‘s 65° V6 engine now had a cast iron engine block instead of aluminium and grew from 1987 cc to 2418 cc by increasing the bore and stroke. In 1970 the Rudge wheel locks were abandoned in favour of five wheel bolts. The Dino 246 was built in three different rows, which differ mainly by modifications to the transmission. Within these series there were different basic variants for Europe, the USA and Great Britain. Series 3 or E (tipo 607 E) included the chassis numbers 02132 to 08518 GT/GTS, built between 1971 an
