This Jaguar E-type of the third and last series has been in the possession of the current owner for almost 20 years. The growling V12 of the SIII naturally appeals to many people. A car that you can drive immediately and with which you can implement optical improvements immediately or over time. The current owner has completely overhauled the engine and gearbox of this Jaguar, there is more than Eur. 26,000, – spent on technical improvements of this E-type. The invoices can of course be submitted by the seller.
The owner says:
“I bought this E-type in 2002 and had it immediately given an anti-corrosion treatment at the time. Because the Jaguar had stood still for quite some time, I replaced the rubber parts, suspension, cooling system, you name it. In 2003 I had the air conditioning completely overhauled. After having enjoyed driving for several years, the car was completely painted in Old English White in 2008. The car already had this color when I bought it, the original color of the E-type is olive green. Now more than 12 years later, the paint is starting to show the test of time again. In 2017 I fully checked the engine of the car. ”
Jaguar E-type Series III general:
With the Series III, a new 5.3L twelve-cylinder Jaguar V12 engine was introduced, with upgraded brakes and standard power steering. The Jaguar E-Type Series III V12 was only available as a convertible and 2 + 2 coupe.
The 1972 Jaguar E-Type convertible used the longer wheelbase 2 + 2 floor plan. It is easily identified by the large grille, widened wheel arches, two large rubber bumpers and a badge on the rear proclaiming it is a V12.
